Last Moments of The Wicked Witch Of The East

Last year, I was in the process of re-drawing new versions of my old Bartoons when today’s idea presented itself. It seemed to me too good to pass up, so it became part of the first batch of new cartoons for Bartoon Central 2010.

Looking at it now, I would have liked to have done more with the picture to flesh it out, hopefully without cluttering it. The world of Oz is so colourful & detailed in the movie! But I loved the idea so much (and still do) that I confess was impatient to get it out. The concept of “What Might Have Been” or “What if?” is one of my favourite avenues of humour.
